About the rain estimate
Available when model data is loaded.
Hourly precipitation probability (>0.1 mm) from Open-Meteo’s explicit GFS model family, using public NEA area coordinates. Each value covers the hour ending at the provider’s timestamp. This is a coarse global model estimate, not an official NEA probability or a street-level prediction. Different models can disagree substantially.
Model output is interpolated to hourly values. We show one hour, rounded to the nearest whole percent; we do not add hours into a day probability. A shared server cache retains the model response for up to six hours. Missing or stale model data shows unavailable. Air quality changes preparation advice, never the rain percentage.
